New: 1-to-1 Maternity Peer Support Now Available

We’re proud to launch our free 1-to-1 peer support offer for pregnant women and new mothers from migrant and ethnically diverse communities.

This service connects families with trained volunteers who provide emotional, practical and culturally sensitive support during pregnancy, birth, and the early months of parenting.

For Parents:

Our peer supporters are experienced mothers who have completed structured training and understand the challenges of navigating pregnancy and motherhood – especially in a new country. They speak a range of community languages and offer support in a way that feels safe, respectful and non-judgmental.

We can support you with:

  • Understanding your maternity care and birth choices
  • Breastfeeding and infant feeding support
  • Emotional wellbeing and confidence
  • Signposting to local services and resources
  • Simply having someone who listens and understands

Support is available over the phone or via video call – whichever suits you best.

For Healthcare Professionals:

Our peer support programme complements clinical care by offering trauma-informed, culturally aware support to women who may face additional barriers when engaging with services. Peer supporters can help families prepare for appointments, understand their rights and choices, and feel more confident in their care journey.

We welcome referrals from midwives, health visitors, GPs and other professionals.
