Support ME Launches 2nd Polish Village Hub in Birmingham on 29th Feb 2024

New Polish Village Hub In Birmingham

The Polish Village Hub in Newark has now successfully been running for over a year where we have had weekly Stay & Play sessions as well as seasonal events throughout the year. We have built incredible relationships with the local Polish community but also public services, maternity services and local organisations. We have also been a part of helping the Ockenden Review in encouraging Polish families to come forward, and ran focus groups with Public Health to help improve healthcare for the community.

We are so proud to say we are doing what we set out to do!

Over the last year, we have also recruited amazing volunteers, some from our first Doula Training Programme for Polish women in 2022. Since joining, Karolina, has been actively helping the Polish Village project develop and strengthen and is now ready to run similar sessions for her community in Birmingham. We’re so proud and excited to have the opportunity to grow our project beyond Nottinghamshire and help more Polish families through face-to-face sessions.
