What is the purpose of the Polish Village?
The Village of support for Polish Families in the UK. We specialise in pregnancy and up to the first years of life. The Polish Village promotes conscious motherhood and attachment parenting, breastfeeding and upbringing in bilingualism. We embrace our Polish heritage, offering a range of free services. Our volunteers are working online and across the UK.
Free Support
Nie śpię, bo karmię!
A free support group for Polish families who are planning, are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed. Volunteers in a group have the current Breastfeeding Peer Supporter Level 2 training. Psychologists, doulas and midwives work with us too. The group meets weekly on Fridays at 10:00 am on Zoom. Meetings are free of charge.
Świadomy Poród UK
Free support group for Polish pregnant women planning birth in the UK. The group is educational and monitored. Here you will find educational materials on childbirth, anaesthesia and your birth rights. Free Live sessions are held weekly on Monday evening after 6 pm.

A free support group for Polish families in the UK who are considering, planning or had a homebirth. Free group meetings are held monthly.

Sessions in Newark:
KAWA&ZABAWA – 10:00 – 11:30 for mothers with children 0-5 years old – Playgroup with elements of the Polish language, the possibility of borrowing Polish books for children, reading in Polish. Meet other Polish mums.
Did you know that children learn best other languages from interactions with other children? Even if Polish is their second language, thanks to regular meetings, your child can get used to the language and get acquainted with Polish culture.
We will organize Santa Claus, Christmas meetings, Easter crafts, dingus and many others. Free meetings. Parent(s) must be present. We do not provide meals. Snacks can be purchased from our shop (from £0.50)
Trained breastfeeding supporters will run the group. You will be able to meet new mums, learn more about mental health, solve your breastfeeding problems, and get advice on feeding and child development. The group will be run entirely in Polish! There will be free meetings. Parent(s) must be present. We do not provide meals.
POLSKA ŚWIETLICA – After-school craft club for Polish children – TEMPORARY SUSPENDED DUE TO LACK OF FUNDING
- 15:30-15:45 DROP IN
- 15:45 – 16:30 Program with elements of Polish culture (History, Geography, Art, Literature). Led by a Polish educator and pedagogue. In addition, help with homework, crafts and a reading corner.
- 16:45-17:00 PICK UP
There is a club fee of £5 per child per session. Parents are welcome in classes, and staying with the child is not required if they are five years old or older. Healthy snacks for children are included in the price; children should have a water bottle.
Registration is required only at the Craft Club due to the limited number of places.
