Role Overview
We seek a passionate Polish Club Facilitator to deliver engaging and educational sessions for Polish children in Newark-on-Trent. This role involves leading at least three monthly sessions to promote the Polish language, culture, and heritage among children. Each session will consist of two hours of delivery and one hour of preparation for three hours per session.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Sessions: Deliver engaging, educational, and interactive two-hour sessions for Polish children focused on the Polish language, traditions, and culture.
Plan and Prepare: Dedicate one hour before each session to prepare structured lesson plans and gather materials to ensure well-organised and age-appropriate sessions.
Promote Cultural Learning: Use creative methods, such as games, songs, stories, and arts, to teach children about Polish heritage and enhance their language skills.
Support Children’s Development: Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment encouraging participants’ social, cognitive, and emotional development.
Engage with Families: Build relationships with families, update them on their children’s progress and encourage further engagement with Polish culture at home.
Qualifications & Skills
Fluency in Polish: Essential for delivering language-focused sessions and communicating effectively with children and families.
Experience with Children: Previous experience teaching, facilitating, or working with children in a formal or informal setting is desirable.
Cultural Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Polish traditions, holidays, and cultural practices to share with children.
Organisational Skills: Independently planning, preparing, and executing well-structured and engaging sessions.
Creativity and Energy: Enthusiastic and creative in your approach to engaging children in learning and cultural activities.
